The mission of the Pensacola Museum of Art is to be a bridge to the visual arts for the diverse populations of Pensacola and the surrounding communities by

• providing an array of stimulating exhibitions within our historic building;
• collecting and preserving works of art from the 20th and 21st centuries with an emphasis on modern and contemporary art; and
• implementing age-specific educational programs to inspire and encourage an appreciation of the arts.

Located in historic downtown Pensacola, the Pensacola Museum of Art is the only museum accredited by the American Association of Museums between Mobile, Alabama and Tallahassee, Florida.  We continue each year to partner with other cultural organizations, community groups, local schools, colleges and universities in order to serve as the cornerstone of visual arts programming in our region.
