PMA Lecture Series

 The Pensacola Museum of Art  presents our PMA Lecture Series, taught by local and regional art historians and guest lecturers. Each month we examine historical and cultural issues from selected time periods in conjunction with presentations of related art works. 

The PMA Lecture Series is presented monthly on the second Thursday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Museum Assembly Room. Admission is free. RSVP to 850.432.6247 is requested.

2012 Lecture Schedule

February 9 – Dr. Suzette Doyon, Associate Professor and former Art Department Chair at the University of West Florida with Shigeko Honda, Co-Director of the Florida-Japan Linkage Institute at UWF. 6 to 7 p.m..


March 4 – Opera Talks - Rigoletto presented in conjunction with the Pensacola Opera. Includes art history presentation and vignettes from Rigoletto performed by the Pensacola Opera cast. Wine and appetizers will be served. Free and open to the public. Event begins at 3 p.m..

March 8 – Monthly lecture series in the Assembly Room. 6 to 7 p.m. Presenter to be announced.

April 12 – Monthly lecture series, 6 to 7 p.m. A panel of local, regional and national fine art collectors has been invited to discuss their personal perspectives on collecting and how one can begin collecting.
